Melaleuca alternifolia

Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca, comes from an Australian plant and has been widely used for almost 100 years as a healing treatment. In fact, the oil from its leaves was placed in first aid kits of soldiers during World War II to support wound health. It is probably best known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties that treat skin conditions like athlete’s foot, acne, and contact dermatitis. It also eases fungal and yeast growth in the skin, mouth, and genitals with its antifungal properties. Tea Tree oil can also be applied to the scalp for hair regrowth keeping it shinier, healthier, and stronger. Top up your daily regimen by adding it to hand sanitizer and deodorant.
